| Professor Seok is an international authority in the field of perovskite solar cells and solar energy conversion. He has transformed the concept of sensitized solar cells into an all-solid-state technology and by that pioneered the development of hybrid perovskite heterojunction devices. His findings fundamentally influenced the development of the perovskite technology and introduced key innovations - such as solvent engineering for the preparation of high-quality perovskite films. Professor Seok’s vision and achievements continue to drive the evolution of perovskite solar cells toward becoming the next-generation technology in sustainable solar energy.
In Germany, Professor Seok will investigate the next generation of photovoltaic technologies – specifically focusing on innovative materials and architectures for perovskite-based solar cells and multijunction solar cells. |
